Day 9 Austin Arrival
35 km in and we’re here. Not Bee Cave here but Austin hotel here. Waking up in the splendid Bee Cave Hotel was a amazing treat. I threw on my swimsuit and headed straight to the pool. As the rider slowly woke up and we all relaxed around the pool you could feel the sense of peace and tranquility around the group. Was it was weather, the georgous surroundings or the feeling of a job well done, or maybe just a good night sleeps. By 11 we were all back on our bikes for the grand tour into Austin. Roughly 40 riders in a sea of teal and another awesome police escort. I have to say cycling on the Interstate into Austin pretty freakin’ cool. I lost it again when we pulled into the hotel. We were here and I couldn’t believe it. I was also surprised with an early birthday cake from John Flagg the sugar buzz made my day. I left the group for the first time since Cyclepath and went for a long walk along the shores of Austin Town Lake with a new friend.
