Week three bust

So my big build week ended up being a bit of a bust. My cold got worse instead of better and I also got some stomach flu in there for added fun. My family life got turned upside down and I spent the better part of the week on the phone with various members of my family.

So last week looked like this
Monday off
Tuesday Run - went well. Stupidly wore shorts perhaps channelling Greg and Susi's warm weather Malaysia vibes.
Wednesday - Swim class went well despite missing an instructor. Spin class was a bust. My focus wasn't anywhere near the class too much going on in my head. Though I did feel better after the class
Thursday - Either caught the evil stomach virus going around or all the stress I was carrying around on other peoples behalf took it's toll. Either way I could barely make it from bed to couch so my run was out.
Friday - Still feeling ill from the previous day I thought it best to stay in bed Friday morning and skip swim. I'm sure my class preferred it that way.
Saturday - I started to feel better so I took an invitation to go snowshoeing instead of pounding the pavement. Sorry Greg but I got in some great endurance training and feed my sprit I figured it was the best of both worlds!
I did manage to get my swim in, though after 3 hours of snowshoeing it wasn't exactly my best swim but I did manage to stay in the water for 50min.
Sunday - I swear after yoga I was going to get right on the bike! I sat on the couch for 2 seconds and I was out for a 3 hour afternoon nap!!!

So this week didn't exactly turn out the way I would have liked it too. But I'm feeling energetic today so my plan is to do yesterday's work-out today after work.

I did spend a good amount of time this weekend sending positive vibes to Malaysia where my coach IronGreg was competing. Wow that guy moves fast! Finishing in 10:37:32, 7th Place in his Age Group and 35th overall. That's overall everyone! That boy was so fast that they didn't change the clock from the pros. I am in awe and so proud of his accomplishment! Now go sit on a beach and drink girlie fruity drinks like everyone else does while on vaction in Asia!!!

Sorry to hear about your sicko week. It is so frustrating when you have to take time off to recover. At least you had a great snowshoe workout! You look very happy -- in your element! :)

hey - glad you are feeling better :) if that 3 hour nap grabbed you and pinned you to the couch when you weren't looking, you likely needed it!! Have a great week from here on out and love the pics!!
