So I too was feeling sluggish tonight. My swim this morning left me sleepy and I ate my lunch too late and continued to eat cookies well into the afternoon. (I like to bake when I'm having a bad day, last night meant 3 dozen oatmeal, craisin, and walmut cookies)
Tonight was our last test night at TCR. Nothing but Team Trials, all night long! So here are some stats. 10km TT
October - average watts 166
February - average watter 187
April (with a massive stomach cramp, can't breath, hurts in every position kinda way) Average watts 197!!!
Cory gave me a Nuun and told me to put half of it under my tong and the other half in the drink. It got rid of my cramp pretty quickly and I was able to make it thought the second 13km TT.
Cory thinks I should go back and to do it again later on in the week, minus the cramp. He thinks I can eaisly break 200. When I got back from Austin I thought I was pretty fit. 8 days of cycling 120km per day. Look what IronGreg can do!
Today was a pretty big success. Now if I could only walk downstairs without grimising

good job - see why you DONT do MAPS!!! You are too damn goood already :)
So I have some NUUN ...but not sure exactly what it is and what it is used for?? Please explain ...
I am at the point where I am testing foods... I know I can not eat a gronola bar before I work out as it revisits me and burns my heart ...lol
Holy crap!!!!! 197 rocks!!!! No wonder you chick the boys -- you have bloody thighs of steel, girl!!! Great job and wicked improvement!! All hail the bike wonder!! lOL!! :) :)
dude, that's friggin AWESOME!!! i wanna be just like kelsey when i learn to ride my bike!! that kicks serious butt. very very proud of you! so are you going to do the second TT?
uhm, question about the nuun....it's an effervesent...and it didn't blow your mouth apart when you put it under your tongue?! yipes. haha.
yeah i have tried to nibble a NUUN just to test the taste and I thought I had licked a 9 volt battery by accident!!!
nuun has saved me on more than one occaision!! Great stuff!!
I too put some straight (mostly on race day) into my mouth (either under tongue or in cheek) - helps wake me up with the bubbly effervesence!! LOL :)
yes, that is exactly what happened. It was like I put 18 packets of Pop Rocks in my mouth and I felt like a rabid dog but it worked very well.
Nuun is a electroyte tab. You drop it in your water (usually) and it hydrates you!
