sadly no superpowers

So I might have a stress fracture. They don't know and my GP didn't want to mess about with my leaving in 5 weeks and the race in 9 so off I went for a bone scan today. I was dissapointed that after being injected with radioactive gunk I didn't have any superpowers, nada, zip, zilch, nothing! What is up with that?

I'll keep you guys posted but it'll be late next week (at the earliest) that I'll know anything.

In the meantime I cannot be left around electronics. In the past 2 months the following has happened
1. Left my ipod in the washing machine, fortunately it didn't make the full cycle just the soak. It sorta worked for a few weeks and then had a last gasp and shutter a few weeks ago. Leaving me with my old school ipod that has 1 hour of power, I know there are children starving in Africa but it's a simple thing that I miss!
2. My cellphone mysteriously fell out of my pocket on my way home. Resulting in me having to miss a very important open water swim practice! And having to invest in a new phone.
3. My favourite recovery drink Chocholate Almond milk with hemp protine added leaked into my digital camera and sadly there will be mo more pictures for this girl. It sucks I really liked my camera and miss being able to take pictures of my adventures.

A possible stress fracture. You do a 6.5 hr half ironman with a possible stress fracture, or you got it during, and continued on. Holy crap! Note to self, do not mess with Kelsey, she's tougher than she looks!

That's a bummer about the electronics, especially all in a row like that.

bummer about the electronics problem. Wow I certainly HOPE it's not a stress fracture. For what it's worth stress fractures are usually super pain ful and you wouldn't be able to run on it at all. I hope they're wrong, that would really suck. Take care of it for now. :)

My fingers are crossed for you Kesley!! Arrgghhh-- Oh well, The most important thing is for you to HEAL.

You are one tough girl, Kelsey and I don't only mean physically. You have the strength of mind to pull through this. AND, you have us.

And your electronic problem -- geesh, girl -- You are way worse than I am!

We don't have to swim if you come to Fernie, we can just get together for a coffee (for me) and a nice tea (for you!). :):)

A girl here had a stress fracture and she did lots of cycling and swimming and NO running! She still did IMC last year and she beat her previous years time. I pray it isn't a stress fracture - so make sure you follow the docs advice and get things straightened out!! Positive vibes on their way .....

Sorry about the stress fracture. As for the phone, camera, iPod dilemma, get a Chocolate Flip phone. It has all three!
