Day 2 October 5 Kremlin MT to Reserve

120.07 km 5 hours 51 minutes.

Exhausting and thrilled. It was the first 6 hour day. We woke up in Chester and discovered some team had TP'd us enroute. Don't worry we'll get ours!

We had some breakie and were interviewed by the local paper. We grabbed some groceries, bananas, bagels, rice cakes, peanut butter and apples, it was golden.

I was amazed by just how flat it was. I'm sure we won't be that lucky for the next few days but wowzia. Nothing but flat. We pulled into Kremlin MT and headed out. After some serious echelon for the first 27km (top speed 41km/hour) awesome.

The rest of the day was fun, if a bit long. I get tired of single line echelon pretty quickly. I can't help it I'm a chatter box. I'm a blue I need to talk to people. But then I bonked pretty hard around the 100km mark. Lack of grains this morning, slow on the Ultima who knows. But more food is needed. My teammates were awesome and took great care of me until we hit the gas station and I slammed back a half pack of gummie bears and pushed it through the last 20km

A little hi jinks to team 4 (who may not be speaking with us anymore, vinegar in the water bottles) at the transitions we were off for dinner.

It's pouring rain and my heart (and any heat I could give) is with team 4 and 5. Stay warm guys!

Post again when I can!
