The post where I'm called an athlete

Saturday I woke up bright an early to meet my coach at the pool to go over some drills. See I may have mentioned many, many a time that me a water don't get along so well. Kind of like dates that don't really go anywhere but you keep bumping into them and are forced to make small talk. I don't hate water per say I'm just not all together fond of it. After an hour in the pool with Coach Greg I might be willing to upgrade water from an uncomfortable acquittance to an associate. Several small tips and I felt (though did not look) a lot more comfortable in the water.

Though it was possibly the least graceful hour of my life especially getting out of the pool after many drills. We hit the hot tub for some 'mental swimming'. I'm trying to find a Masters Swim group to join but the whole idea of 'Masters' swim freaks me out a little bit.

Otherwise everything else has been going well. I found a way to entertain myself on my long slow runs, Podcasts! If you have a great Podcast that you listen to send 'em over. I need entertainment!

Hey Kels,

Glad to hear that your relationship with water is progressing to the next level.

As for podcasts, you may have seen this post where I talk about two that I listen to. Some others that I like are CBC Radio: Q The Podcast, CBC Radio: The Best of DNTO, and Real Time with Bill Maher (although is hasn't been updated lately because of the writer's strike). Enjoy!

Good to hear that you're getting serious about this IM training stuff! Welcome to the insanity.
Also glad to see that you're working with Greg, he's a good guy...

For podcasts, there are a couple of good tri ones if you really want to get into it... Competitor Radio kicks ass and Tri Talk is also pretty good.
