Saturday I was suppose to do a 45 minute run instead I went snowshoeing for almost 3 hours (Sorry Greg!) I figured that it was a similar activity and getting out to the mountains is always good for the soul.
After we got back I was curled up on my couch and it took every ounce of strength to get up and to the pool. I started at 'I'll get up at 4, then 4:30 finally at 5:30 I peeled myself up headed out. Driving over I was lamenting about how lame I was spending Saturday night in the pool. Until I look three lanes over and saw my coach. I was have to saw that at least three other people in the lanes were tri-geeks as well (identifiable by their tri related clothing, swim caps or towels). My swim went well (10x 100 with 20 sec breaks) and my swimp3 player helped get me through the last 5 sets.
Sunday morning my intention was to wake up early get my bike and t-run finished before 10:30 so I could make my friend Carrie's yoga class. My body decided that sleep was the order of the day so I did yoga at 11 and then biked. Hot Fuzz was the movie of choice. I would highly recommend it! I almost had to pause it a few times because I was laughing so hard. My transition run was good, the weather was warm and company was great. My heart rate was determined not to come down instead hanging out in Zone 3-4 despite feeling like I was running calmly and relaxed. Maybe it was because I was still laughing about Hot Fuzz.
Massage tonight! Woo hoo I love rest days!

No problems - a 3 hour snowshoe is a great endurance workout, so good for you. This time of year, it is good to get out to the mountains for a ski or snowshoe, rather than the same old run or bike workouts!!
I was really just checking up on you at the pool ;)
Keep up the good work!!
