So this weekend consisted of 3 hours of biking, one of swimming and a quick 45
minute run.
Friday's bike main set was 3 minutes building to zone 4 and 2 ex lower zone 2 6 times. In layman's terms that means 3 minutes with a heart rate around 194-199bpm and 2 'ez' around 166-179. It means a lot of sweat for a Friday night. I watched Zodiac Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo made for some easy eye candy to push through. But around 3am I remembered why I'm not allowed to watch scary movies by myself!
Saturday's swim was a whole other story. I just couldn't find any rhythm, my goggles were all over the place, and I know this is gross but I felt phlegmy and like I couldn't breath at times. I left the pool feeling frustrated. My afternoon run was great. It was perfect weather and I changed my route towards Eau Claire to Centre Street bridge and looped back. My shins were causing me some grief at the end of the run but it was a great work out.
Sunday meant more bike. 90 minutes and another movie Shag The main set was 6 minutes upper zone two and 4 lower again six times. I had a hard time getting my heart rate steady for the first two sets but after that I zoned in.
Today means sleep and food (also work) and gearing up for a challenging week ahead.
