Christmas Week

So my Christmas week went a little like this

Monday 24th OFF attempt to sleep in. Feel lazy and then stretch. Also, eat a lot.

Tuesday 25th 60 minute run. I took my Aunt's lab with me and now I want one! Running with a puppy is a lot more fun.

Wednesday 26th Bike 70 minutes 15 min warm-up, drills (one leg and accels), then 3x cadence pyramids. I got my bike computer hand delivered from Seattle. Suddenly cadence pyramids are a lot harder now that I actually know my cadence and am not just guessing.

Thursday 27th Swim 30 minutes. I know it was suppose to be 45 but I had some technical issues involving waking up early to swim and then realizing I had forgotten my goggles at home. So I went home and went for a run and then swam later on in the day. So I swam for a bit and then did some mental swimming in the hot tub.
Run 45 15min warm-up, 15min tempo zone 3, then 15min cool down. Now that I know what my heart rate zones really are the running is a lot more fun.

Friday 28th Bike 80 minutes 20min warm-up, one leg drills and cadence work, then 8x 3min building to zone4 /2min ez lower zone2, then c/d. This one hurt a lot. It took me a while to slowly build to zone four. The first few times I was rushing to it and then it was really hard/painful to stay there.

Saturday 29 Swim 60 minutes warm-up and drills, 4x100 build to fast, then short rest - finish with timed 1000m, then c/d. So my 1000m timed swim pretty much sucked. Clearly this is where I need to be doing some more work. I was suppose to run after but I was grouchy from my gym making me stand in a bathrobe in the lobby for 15 minutes after my swim. So I went home to pout/nap

Sunday 30th Bike 90 minutes to 15 minute transition run. This also hurt but my heart rate calmed down and the run felt good after 5 minutes.

Monday 31st Was suppose to be my day off however I was signed up to do the 8km Resolution Run. It was a fun race. My time was 41 minutes which seemed alright considering the first 3km was mostly spent dodging carriages and dogs. (taught me a lesson on race placement)!

And now I'm onto a new three week build, then maybe sleep

I am suprised that you were able to get so much training in over Christmas. I had all of the intention to but all I was able to do was a few small hikes.

PS I like the blog, have added it to my list to try and keep me motivated for my less and impressive (compared to your own) goals.
