Was that a weekend? It went by so fast that I didn't even notice it!
Saturday was a bit of a mixed bag. I was suppose to swim but since I was signed up for the 4 hours of power. I decided to swap my swim for my bike and do some core and weights before the 4 hours of pain started. A teammate from TRICOPS asked me to join their all girls team. I like bikes + people + raising money so I figured it would be a fun time. It was quite the race. At several points we had to put a rain jacket to protect us from the "rain". They all pulled rank on me so I had to do the first leg and sprint 800m before hopping on the bike for 15min. This wouldn't have been so bad except after sprinting around the track I was running down the stairs and fell down the first flight. Klutzy Kelsey strikes again! All totalled it was 1 hour of effort for me. Our team won first place in the female category, biking just shy of 100km in 4 hours 99.5 bah! We were served an awesome meal and got a tonne of swag (I even made a bike date with cyclist next to our team!!!) I would highly recommend that anyone do this event next year!
Then Sunday came and the reason for the title of this post! 4, 15 minute sprints = PAIN. On one had I like that feeling, it reminds me that muscles are working and are repairing to make themselves stronger on the other ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!!!
I hit up the farmer's market and raced to yoga hoping to stretch out my poor quads. Check that it wasn't just my quads it was EVERYTHING. My glutes, my hamstring felt like and elastic band about to spring, my abs. I was one hurting unit. After yoga (only moderately helped the pain) I jumped into the pool for my 6x 400m set IG had laid out. I made sure to bring my SwiMP3 and rocked out, I remembered just how hard it is when you don't get to draft behind someone!! I must swallow a lot of water because every time I get into the pool I have to get out to pee halfway through the workout. Am I the only one this happens to? I managed to avoid the magnetic pull of the hot TUB and finished my set. The only problem now is that my arms and shoulders hurt now too!
This week is back down to week one. I'm looking forward to having some spare time to get my house sorted and tidy for the realtor to assess me.
Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! Is green beer considered a good carb or a bad carb?

Its a good carb :) Hope your fall and tumble doesn't cause you any long term grief - sounds like a very busy and hard weekend!!
What an awesome weekend!! You did great!
I have to pee about halfway through too. Sometimes, I even have to go twice. So -- don't feel alone out there!! LOL! :) :)
Jenna you will be happy to know that the damage was only done to my ego!
Julie, the washroom at talismen centre is a good 5 minute walk from the good pool! I swear it's all in my head!
Good for you! Think of how much rebuilding your muscles are going to do now!
People swallow water when they swim? Any special reason? I've seen a few people leave the pool with an urgent look, but have never had to myself no matter how long the swim. One advantage of being a big guy, more storage space.
...please where can I buy a unicorn?
