OWEZIA

So today was day one on the big build week. I am determined not to fall apart quite so spectularly I have on previous week three's. I woke up this morning excited the first 20 min of my run my HR monitor was flaking out on me. I just had the battery replaced and it's still jumping from 34 to 198 and everywhere in between. And while my HR is a little spastic it's not quite that bad. I think it might be time for a pretty new one. There was a couple at MEC the other day I had my eye on the Suunto t3 training watch. Anyway something less then good happened today. I was having a great zone two run keeping mostly in the zone (whenever my HR monitor didn't spazz out) around the 50 minute mark my left knee grew VERY unhappy with me and felt like it was going to give out. I stopped and massaged it a bit and ran on it again and a few minutes later it did the same thing. It felt weak for the last 20 minutes of the run and I was hesitant to push it so I ended up doing 70 minutes and stretching.

I'm hoping that they are just cranky at me over the weekend's adventures. Three hours on the bike is a little out of my usual range followed by dancing till the wee hours probably didn't do a body good. I have a massage booked at 2:15 today (yes, I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off!!) and hopefully it will forgive me.

Dancing probably did it! But was it worth it? ;) LOL! Heal fast!
