I'm not sure if there is a muscle in my body that doesn't hurt right now. After the butterfly and wicked spin class it all hurts.
So I race to spin last night and discover that I grabbed the left foot of my old road shoes and the right foot of my tri shoes. I was happy that I didnt' have two left feet but it made for a silly looking class!
About 10 minutes in the warm up I started to get the message from my legs that they didn't want to play this game. We did two team time trials with drafting. Which was easy for the roadies but tricky for the triathletes. And by easy I still be incredible thigh burning pain. After two all out sprints we had a brief rest and a 10 moderate hill ride. I was spent, there was the only last shreds of energy left and I used every last drop. The entire 18min ride was a sufferfest that I was only too happy to see the end of.
I had a bath last night to attempt to ward off the pain I'm feeling this morning but to no avail. I need a massage and STAT instead I'm about to head out for my IGP 60 min Fartlek Run.
If I don't post about the run later send a search party to the river!

two words: epsom salts. you can get them from any drugstore and it's only a few bucks for a massive bag of them. put them in your bath next time and they should help ease the agony!
have fun on the run!
That's funny you grabbed two different shoes -- reminds me one time I drove to the pool only to discover I didn't have my swimsuit. I had workout gear on, and felt like a total idiot, but I was not going to sacrifice my swim!
I put in a whole boat load of fancy Rocky Mountain Soap epsom salt but I think the problem was that I didn't stay in long enough. I have a hard time sitting still for that long!
I was really bummed I wasn't able to be at the TCR spin last night (We used to ride Thursdays) until I read your post. I HATE the team time trials. I suck and end up getting blown off the back and grinding through solo anyway :-(
Good work though, mismatched shoes and all!
