So the first 50 min were absolutely terrible. Everything hurt, my HR rate was spiralling and I just couldn't find a rhythm (I suppose that suppose to happen during a Fartlek right Greg?) I also made some poor clothing decisions. A few weeks ago I ran in shorts and made my almost gone cold come back with force. I've stuck to tights ever since. This morning I grabbed my uniform
-tights
-long sleeve tech shirt
-Cancervive vest
-warm socks
-sport bra
It's time my friends. Spring has sprung! I ran past the CBC building and the temp said 11! I was sweating fierce, exhausted from a poor nights sleep and dehydrated.
Then something happened around Eau Claire where I usually start to cool down. I had just finished my last hard interval from the Louise Bridge to Eau Claire and thought I should have cooled down but out of the clear blue sky I had something left. I pushed it 1.5 km farther (from Centre street to the 4th Bridge and looped back) and it felt great! So strange is this world, a burst of energy some somewhere deep down. I was still super hot so I yanked off my long sleeve and just cooled down in a sports bra. I had the pleasure of walking back to the office with two partners from my office. (I quickly put my shirt back on) Then stretch in the park for a solid 10min after.
The real question is will I have enough for some weights tonight?
Also, I'm in the market for a new massage therapist. If anyone has some they LOVE please drop me their name.
My favourite lunch salad
- spinach
- grape tomatoes
- sunflower seeds
- craisins
- hunk of goat cheese
- Dressing (third honey, hemp oil and flax seed Julie I make this in my Magic Bullet, not your bike the blender don't get the two confused)

Heh-heh-heh! It's a good thing you mentioned the blender, because I was just starting to pour honey over the handlebars... :):)
Thanks for a great recipe -- I need all the help I can get -- that sounds delish!:)
A massage therapist I LOVE love and am going to miss (flying back for treatment would almost be worth it)
Adam Clime he works out of Core Yoga studio.
It is all pain and suffering while you are on the table, but he has helped keep me injury free through 3 seasons of IM/ ultra training.
If you go, tell him I say hi :-)
