Who's your Sharkie??!!?? (stolen from Shannon)

Run

I really, really, REALLY did not want to go running yesterday. I was at work until after 6pm and then I stopped to chat with my friend whos moving away on my way home buy the time i actually got home it was 7pm and I was trying to convience myself that my throat was sore so I would have a reason to skip the run.

Step One 7:30 I used my trick and just got dressed to run
Step Two is to talk myself into going outside and just warming up.
Step Three The 10 minute rule. If you can get through the first 10 minutes of running you can get through the entire workout. I got some serious cramps in my ribs. Just under my ribcage ouch, I told myself that if it still hurt my the time I got to the bridge (about a 10min distance) I could turn around there and head home.

Of course Step Three happened I started really enjoying my run.

It was my first attempt at tempo runs. Brief 3min and then 3min easy. It was more fun then I thought it was going to be.

Swim! Who's my Sharkie? (I'm like a dog with a bone)
Ugh my arms seemed to forget how to swim. They got so use to sitting on handlebars that WOW did I feel that one!

Business Friday set was 3100m
(I showed up bizarrly early son 400m warm up for me)
4x25 decending
6x100 on 2min. No break inbetween (so effectavly it was 600m straight)
400m whatever stroke
2x100 on 1:50
100m sprint
100m sprint
2x100 on 1:50
400 whatever stroke
6x100 on 2:00

Thankfully I chopped off all my hair. I don't think I could have held the hair dryer this morning. Felt great to be back in the pool.

This weekend!!!!
Lola, the trainer and I are going on a road trip! Out to Susi's place to endure our 3 Hours of Pain (We love you Greg!!!) together.

I always say to myself ...."You do not have to feel like it to do it!" and then eventually you get your butt out the door and find the groove which teaches you the best workouts come when you think you can't do it :) Well done!! I come and look at your pictures cause it's like pretend summer ...we have a snowfall warning today. Ug! have fun with Susi - I wish I could be a fly on the wall for that ride... I hear giggles, snorting, and funny as hell comments whispered under your breaths .... have fun!!! And one of these times we have to all get together for some SUSHI - everytime I read something from susi - it has the word SUSHI in it - now I am dreaming of it.....

Nice job on getting yourself out the door. Your step-by-step process is a terrific idea and I will try it out next time.

I dunno if I have the mental toughness to do a Susi trainer ride - no tv, radio, no nothing to entertain me. I have a lot of respect for people who can pull those workouts off.

Have a great workout together.

Hey! I'm up for 150 minutes on the bike this Sunday, and was thinking about doing 180 to maybe make up some missed time. And I wasn't invited to Susi's??? Humphfff. So I'll ride outside and tell you all about it.

The first part is always the hardest, and you've got a plan for that. You the Sharkie!
