Tuesday afternoon bike

While all of you were toiling away at your desks I got to break free and ride my bike yesterday! It was a beautiful day and some very nice peloton riding was had. Too many km to say (I'm afraid to tell IG!) but it was lots and it was fun! Peolton hardly counts right?

Today was a very, very early and sleepy swim. For the first time in a while I wasn't really enjoying it. I kept getting water up my noes at the wrong time and feeling panicky. Twice when we were doing 200m 1 arm drills I had to flip over on my back and take a few deeps breaths! Hopefully this isn't a precursor to this weekend and I will not panic and horribly embarrass myself before all of you.

Otherwise I switched my run to today at lunch.
1. A friend/advisor called as asked me to join him for a run
2. I want to leave as early as possible tomorrow so I can get into the lake and test out my "don't panic" theory!

The run went really well. I haven't been out for a run, run since the half. I did a terribly brick on the weekend and that's about it. I was a little nervous about how it was going to feel. It was a nice easy 45 min zone two run 8.5 km. Probably too slow for Jamie but a nice chatting pace and I got to feel like my running mojo came back! Lets hope it stays through the weekend! I have to try to keep just with Julie!

Just for Keith!

Cool! Thanks! I've run on some of those paths near the zoo.

Your bike ride sounds interesting--of the tidbits I heard of. Have a great weekend. Supposed to be HOT HOT HOT out there this weekend so I've heard.

You rock-- don't worry about the swimming fiasco. You're just fatigued!! You just had a monster bike ride, it's normal to be sluggish AND get lots of water up your nose! One hearty dose of man candy would clear that all up I reckon!! :):)
