Photographic evidence of me in a lake

My great friend Al who's adventures can be read about here heard my desperate plea for lake access after the half IM and came to the rescue!

We had a great swim, the weather was good the lake is clean. I managed not to freak out. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to feel like I'm ok in a lake and then get to race day and freak out. It's maddening. Since Keith already let the cat out of the wetsuit I guess I have to share with everyone my ooops moment last night. I forgot I had a chiro appointment at 5:30 so I had enough time to grab my backpack from my house and race to the south attempt to get fixed up and then head into the DEEP south to meet everyone. I was almost at my appointment when I realized that I had forgot to grab my towel and then the deep sinking realization that I had also left my bathing suit air drying in the spare bathroom! So I had to go eau naturale under my wetsuit (Julie is going to love is one!!) My secret was safe until IG said that we were going to practice our transitions! My secret was out, the lake was kid friendly and I choose to make the dash to the change room to struggle and shimmy out of my wetsuit all by myself!

In leg news. It still hurts, I think it's more of a muscle thing then a bone thing. But I got a call from my GP's office and they have the results but will not share them over the phone and the next available appointment is on Tuesday!!! Talk about maddening.

I want to know how you managed to change into your wetsuit without anyone knowing...I know I'd be suspicious if I saw you going to the change room instead of changing like everyone else. Hahahahaahaha!!!

Personally, I think two things are going to come of this little escapade of yours --

1. You are SO getting a new nickname. LOL!!!

2. I think you are furtively planning a surprise for the wetsuit strippers at IMC. Hahahahaha!!!!

My fingers are still crossed for your leg -- I hope it's just the muscle. It is frustrating to have to wait until Tuesday ...

Good luck Kelsey!!!

Jules is right...you have to get a nickname for that one!

Hope you leg issues turn out to not be serious.

Also, you're swim cap rawks! Seriously, I'm getting one...I also want some shark googles...the ones with fins on them. I saw them last year somewhere.

I can ONLY imagine the looks I'm going to get when I stroll out onto the pool deck sporting my flower power swim cap and some sharkie googles....RAAAWWRRRRR!

(or whatever sound a flower powered shark makes)

STREAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ha!!!
I freak out when swimming in lakes with only a few people because my brain tells me that the things that live in the water - will see me now!!!! -On race day, I figure that luck is on my side as the odds that the "thing" will get me and not someone else are in my favour.... rational - I know!!!

Streaker!!!
