I totally forgot to post these
I wasn't really sure so last night was more of a test run I did
2 set of
30 sec. regular plank
30 sec. lift side

hmmm, me thinks you guys are forgetting about ironjulie who has killer plank times! i'd like to try and hold it that long!!
hahahaha!! Yeah but it's not a pretty sight to behold! Sweat dripping down on the mat -- I know people are thinking to themselves "Ewww, I hope she cleans the mat after she's done." Mind you,the sweat doesn't drip so much if I do my planks BEFORE I run. Why do I always have to figure things out bass-ackwards? LOL!!! I read in one of my older Runner's World mags about this female athlete that had six kids and would do planks for 3:00 min. She has AMAZING abs, so that has been my goal -- when I get to 3:00, I will be happy.
And, to be frank, I have suffered back problems on and off for 5 years -- and it has been yoga and core work that has virtually eliminated them.
Anyways, your plank times are AWESOME!!! To just dive in and start -- people don't realize how hard they are, eh? Good for you!!!!!
I do like the name "Rock Hard Susi" -- it has a nice ring to it!!! RHS could be your code name... LOL!!!
Great plank times ... It is always nice to have a little challenge to look forward to beating your own ass on the next time you do it.
ah you do flatter; however, can one really be called 'rock hard' when one's ass is so jiggly it bounces off one's heals when running?! LOL.
i think i'll just stick to being called 'five foot two of fury'. haha.
i think it's cool we are all doing this challenge. we are all going to have awesome core by the time our races come!
